The Art of Lost Words is a series of artworks by various artists depicting words that seem to be forgotten. Artists who responded to an open brief have depicted words such as antithalian (adj. opposed to fun or festivities), gaudiloquent (adj. speaking joyfully or on joyful matters), griseous (adj. streaked or mixed with grey) and cacotopia (n. a state in which everything is as bad as can be) in mixed media works that are amusing and provocative. These pieces will send you to your dictionaries to search for more of the same.
